We pretty much have our nursery together. Good thing too, as the new baby could arrive at any time! We have been madly trying to get as prepared as possible, but of course I'm sure we are missing lots of things and have more stuff than we will use at first. So hard heading into the unknown. I can't believe it's nearly time! Above is the view you have when you first walk in, and a close up of that very bright bookshelf I painted a couple of months back. It now is complete and full of all of the wonderful books and animals for baby. The paint seems to be still holding up. I think adding the primer coat, and then letting it sit for a couple of weeks after it was done really helped. We ended up using our old dresser we had in the guest room for all her clothes and blankets. We couldn't decide on a dresser in any store, or if we wanted to redo the inside of the closet. One morning, I just said, we already own this dresser let's try it out, and it worked quite well. We thought about painting it the same as the bookcase, but I'm not 100% sure if it would look good. However, I might get some fun knobs to put on the drawers! We also added those hooks in the corner, which we thought were too cute. The giraffe growth chart was a Christmas gift from my parents, it's so amazing! We still need to hang it up somewhere in the room. Here is the baby's crib all ready for her. Without planning it we seem to have a giraffe theme, but I love it! I had bought these decals online from Chapters, and they are just great. I love the designs, and they come on and off the walls really easily so you can move them around and reuse them. Baby has a new friend to welcome her living in the crib for now! So excited!
