We managed to get one wall painted in our great room. It's going to be a lot of time and work to finish the room, but for now the wall that the shelves will go on is finished. It took almost as long, as it did to pick out the colour to use! We ended up choosing Behr Sculptors Clay, as seen below. The colour is a grey with a bit of brown in it. As a result the effect makes the room feel a lot warmer and finished than the plain white. I can't wait to see how the whole room will look! However, that will probably have to wait until the new year. I'm really happy with it! It's always hard to pick a colour that will be in a large space and has to match many things. I think this time we have done well!

I came across this post from Design Sponge, and I thought these little papier mache cacti were so adorable. Plus they will never die! I haven't attempted making one yet, but they look like a really fun project. There are complete instructions on the Design Sponge website. The design is by David Stark Design. Over the weekend we went to the Distillery District Christmas Market. I have attended the last few years and it's always a great time. Lots of entertainment, tons of food vendors, and little gift shops to explore. Even if you don't do anything but walk around the area the atmosphere is amazing. It's a great way to spend some time outside enjoying the season. Of course, it's even better with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. If you get a chance you should definitely check it out, and enjoy the festivities! |
