Finished painting the Great Room

We finally finished! The whole main room is painted. We decided against the grey wall opposite the fireplace and to keep it the same colour as the rest of the room (for colour see here). The grey actually made the white shelves stand out more, and they became the feature of the room, instead of the focus being on the fireplace. I'm quite happy with our decision. Hopefully one day we will get some dark grey curtains which will add that splash of drama I was looking for. I'm really impressed with the difference the paint makes to the coziness of the room. The colour adds a lot of warmth compared to the stark white. The main room is coming along!
