Progress, Slow Progress

We have been working on my office (the smallest room in the house). And there is so much more to be done than originally thought! Isn't that always the way. 

We started painting the room with a can of paint we already had around. However, after assessing the room, there was a bunch of other fixes that needed to be done. It seems like most of the walls and base boards in this house are in rough shape, and with a closer look the ceiling (once white) is now turning a little brown with age. So we have been working away on this room for the past little while. Slowly and steady we are getting through the check list. Hopefully this weekend we will get it all finished!

The Check List

• Clean the room
• Organize stuff and placement of furniture
• Paint walls
• Paint white trim
• Paint ceiling
• Change door knobs
• Put up wall shelf
• Hang art

We ended up having to buy more paint for the office as we went through the left over can quite quickly, so now we have more leftover paint. In the past we kept forgetting which paint was used for each room (especially when some colours were quite similar), so I added a label to this paint can so we would remember.
